EMRAD is working with two trusts—Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH) and United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT)—in the network to deploy a six-month proof-of-concept (POC) project that will enable patients to book their own routine imaging appointments.
This is provided by Dadalus Swiftqueue, in partnership with GE and Magentus.
The Swiftqueue system integrates bi-directionally with the Trusts RIS (Radiology Information System) to enable information regarding appointment slots and patient requests to pass seamlessly between both systems.
Patients being referred for imaging will receive an email asking them to register on the SwiftQueue online system to book their appointment for a time and date that suits them. For the purpose of this POC project, the online system will be piloted for plain film and ultrasound requests at NUH and MRI and ultrasound requests at ULHT.
